‘Skin / Canvases’ is a series of paintings based on the pink tint.
Seemingly monochromatic, these canvases are blurry visions of hidden erotic images, those emerge from a deep contemplation.
The painting cites the pictorial theme of the “incarnato” —the technique used to paint skin— and is the result of the stratification of opaque layers of acrylic.
The gap between the edges of the canvas and the body of the painting reinforces its internal contrast and hides further the blurry image deep in the squared shape.
