‘The Pop as Drug and the Drug as Pop’ is an installation that represents an ambiguous visual relation between everyday objects and different psychotropic substances. The objects are chosen for their material and visual appearances that are used to evocate several types of drugs.
Even if clearly adulterated, the aspect of “drug” shocks the viewer, criticizing the illusory devotion for the popular consumption goods which represents an effective addiction as well.
